The Vineyard

Finally got out of town and took the fast ferry to Martha's Vineyard. A bit of an overcast day, so instead of hitting the beach we saw some sights and had some food and drinks. That fast ferry out of New Bedford is the way to go. It has been such a rainy summer and we have been so focused on the sno-cone trailer that we haven't gotten out of our yard much. The Obamas will be coming to town in a week and then of course the crowds will be crazy. Glad we went when we did. We lucked out as Kristina's friend lives there and she let us use her car for a while. We went out to the cliffs and then to see a garden cultivated by a lady named Polly Hill, she grew some unusual specimen trees and shrubs and it is free to walk around her property. We also visited the sculpture garden on the property where Kristina's friend lives, then it was on to John Belushi's grave where I'm sure I secured my place in hell......decided to do an unrehearsed skit and dance in his honor...well, you can see the photo evidence. All in all a nice trip with some great friends.
