Every year Chuck and Guido plant gobs and gobs of tomato plants that then I have to scramble to can and sauce and pick. They delight in this comedy and come up with new varieties each year and each year I ask them to control their urge to grow massive amounts of things. It all falls on deaf ears, the thrill is in the growing for them...and the eating of course...and the bossing me around to pick! pick! pick!
