He knows how to work me

Toby hates to be left out. He often climbs up in empty dining room chairs to be a part of the table conversation. If there is no room and you happen to lean forward he takes that as an invite to fill the space. Don't let him fool you however, this is not about affection and devotion....it's all about the FOOD!

Selling the mom van

Well, it's time to let it go.....We have been to many a beach trips, sports games. 3 times back and forth to Florida. We have climbed mountains and weathered stormy roads. Such a a good 'ol car...350,000 miles and still purs along the road. But we can't trust it to make trips out of town and Anthony claims he can't pick up girls in this car. Are you kidding me? Those cougar ladies out there would appreciate this beauty!

Excuses, excuses!

I have drifted of the blogging course for the past few months...real life or virtual life, its always a toss up. Have had many work projects. My 6th graders made all of these sock dolls that we then sent down with a missionary group to orphanages in Honduras. This has kind of blossomed into presentations that I am doing and a magazine article on kids and social justice. I'm also going to Washington D.C. in June for a Very Special Arts conference where I am presenting. What this all means is my technologically challenged brain has had to get on the power point, movie maker train and crank out some visuals. Way too time consuming for me. Have also just finished teaching my college class spring semester. The bottom line is when I super busy and it is dark by 5pm I'm asleep by 8:30! Such a light weight!

But have no fear, those of you who actually enjoy my little blog, with sunshine and summer comes more time.......wait, except maybe this summer because I will be busy in my sno-cone trailer down by the beach!

Yipee!! Spring

Thank the magic of seed packets, water and sun....we have been eating fresh spinach and greens for the past week! Not to mention the greatness of having your own produce but the green house is like a warm little universe in March-83 degrees today!! Sometimes I just sit in there.

Got what I wanted! ...well,not exactly

So a friend of mine had this cute little pony that needed some training so I went over last summer and lunged her etc. This little friendship seemed to help with my constant wish to have a horse again. Well this winter she had to get rid of the pony. Since I am no longer wanting that time commitment but I loved the little horse I did the next best thing...I talked my neighbor into taking her! Now I can keep playing with her and go on vacations guilt free too.....Oh yeah, the only catch? Too small to ride so I'm training her to pull a cart hee hee. Gidiyap.
